Dental Therapy
At The Barn Dental Clinic, I hold the dual position of Hygienist and Dental Therapist. While most patients are used to receiving treatment from a hygienist, not many are aware of the additional treatments I can provide.

Benefits of
Dental Therapy
From dental check-ups to fillings, emergency appointments and all aspects of gum health, I work collaboratively with the rest of the dental team to improve patients access to care. This can help reduce Michael’s workload, which enables him to focus on more complex treatments. Under Michaels support, I can offer a new perspective, answer questions and advise on treatment plans.
This can also help shorten waiting times for treatment and although my scope of practice is smaller than a dentist, it means I can focus specifically on the treatments I do offer and providing dedicated and personalised patient care.
Why We Offer
Dental Therapy
From a young age I have always loved working with children. Providing fun and engaging paediatric care that is sensitive to their needs. I believe this is important as it will create a positive view towards dentistry, setting them up for future visits to the dental practise. Furthermore, I have a keen interest in the psychology behind dental anxiety in adults and developing ways in which to support them and ease their concerns, making the whole experience a calm and empowering one.
