How does it work?
Denplan Essentials can help you keep your teeth and gums healthy by ultimately adopting a preventative approach to dentistry.
- Your dentist at The Barn will decide the number of check-ups, hygiene appointments and dental x-rays you’re likely to need on an annual basis. Treatment is always at the discretion of our practice team.
- We will then let you know your monthly fee to spread the cost of your ongoing routine care
- Your payment is collected by us monthly by Direct Debit. A one-off registration fee of £15 per person may apply upon joining.
What does Denplan Essentials give you?
It gives you routine preventative care from your practice team. This includes:
- Check-ups*
- Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatment*
- Preventative dental advice
- Dental x-rays*
- 15% discount on any pay as you go treatments, e.g. filling, root treatment, crowns
- Any additional treatment specified as included by the dental practice in your contract
- Out of hours emergency cover
- Priority access to appointments and any cancellations
*up to the maximum detailed in your contract
What is not covered by Denplan Essentials?
- Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures
- Laboratory fees and prescriptions
- Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
- Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
- Sedation fees
What is Denplan Supplementary Insurance?
Denplan Supplementary Insurance is an additional insurance product. Although this isn’t free, you can add on to your Denplan Essentials payment plan for just 60p per person per month.
It provides:
- Temporary emergency dental treatment in the UK (up to £450 per incident. Maximum amount payable £900 per calendar year).
- Temporary emergency dental treatment when overseas (up to £450 per incident. Maximum amount payable £940 per calendar year).
- Up to £62 for each night you stay in hospital under the care of a dental or maxillofacial surgeon for dental treatment for up to one year.
- Up to £12,000 towards one course of mouth cancer treatment for up to 18 months following diagnosis (smokers are included).
How do you get started with Denplan Essentials?
Signing up is simple. It’s not necessary to have a pre-assessment before joining Denplan Essentials. Simply have a chat with one of our practice team and arrange an appointment.
Additionally, we will then discuss your dental care with you and tailor a plan to fit your needs. We will ask you to sign a contract with us and complete an application form.
