Bluestone Vineyards in Cholderton is run by brothers Nat and Toby McConnell at their family farm (it’s giving Emily in Paris vibes already). If you’re looking for something a little more sophisticated, Bluestone Vineyards offer a range of experiences, from their Signature Vineyard Walk & Wine Tasting to a self-guided tour of the vineyard. With stunning views and plenty of delicious wine to taste, it’s a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.
The Gallery
For art lovers, The Gallery is a must-visit. Recently awarded ‘Best Art Space in Wiltshire’ in the 2022 Muddy Stilettos Awards, The Gallery features work from some of the leading artists, furniture makers, and sculptors in the area. With ever-changing exhibitions and a range of workshops on offer, there’s always something new to discover. You can even visit the creative studios and watch the artists at work.
Escape Room
The body of Prof Brown has been found in a shallow grave on Salisbury Plain… A murder investigation is underway.
You and your investigation team are invited to Starboard Upton Laboratory to help police eliminate suspects and find the killer. You must use all your senses to solve puzzles, find clues and investigate the suspects.

Salisbury, Stonehenge and Sarum Tours

Discover the rich history of Salisbury with these high-quality tours that take you to some of the most iconic attractions in the area, including Stonehenge and Old Sarum.

Chalke Valley History Festival – 6th June – 2nd July 2023
If you are a history buff, you won’t want to miss the largest festival in the UK dedicated entirely to history. Taking place from 26 June to 2 July 2023 in Broad Chalke, near Salisbury, Wiltshire, this festival offers a unique blend of talks, discussions, and debates alongside interactive living history experiences and stunning air displays. The festival spans 70 acres of an area of outstanding natural beauty and is sure to excite, entertain, and educate visitors of all ages.
With over 150 talks from some of the best-known experts on a vast array of subjects from ancient to modern history, alongside interactive living history experiences led by some of our most popular TV historians, this festival is truly a celebration of history like no other.
All proceeds from the festival are directed to the Chalke Valley History Trust, which promotes the understanding and enjoyment of history to all ages.
Visible Mending Workshop – 29th July 2023
Learn how to give new life to your beloved garments. In this workshop, you will learn how to assess the damage, understand the fabric you’re about to mend, and identify complementary fabric to patch the damaged area. You will also learn how to prepare the area to be stitched, ensuring durability and movement to the garment. Most importantly, you will gain a newfound skill to future-proof your clothes for lifelong wear.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn a valuable skill and extend the life of your wardrobe! It’s suitable for ages 16 years and above, beginners, and those who are looking to radicalise their much-loved clothes.
